Vanishing Barns

Vanishing Barns is a beautifully illustrated book of black and white photographs. It unearths rich stories of rural life in southern Ontario as told by family members. Each of the 162 barns recorded includes recent and historical photos, genealogy beginning around 1880, barn dimensions and water sources. Other articles of interest have barn tools, petitioning for Crown land, a contract for building a 1904 barn and an 1875 mortgage sale poster.
