The Longest Mustache in St. John and Other Poems is a collection of comedic verse by Colin McKim, illustrated by Jim Ireland, about the unexpected and imaginary.
Colin McKim was a reporter with The Orillia Packet & Times. Upon retirement, he returned to his first love, writing poetry. He felt his poems needed to be illustrated and went on a quest to find an illustrator. He found Jim's work at The OMAH Shop in an art catalogue and he knew he had to meet up with him.
Jim Ireland moved to Toronto from York, England, and had a very successful career as a graphic designer. Jim retired to Orillia with his wife Pat and worked on his art. He has taught workshops at OMAH, had two solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions.
