The Free Range Nun

In 1964 in Northern Ontario, the residents of Fred's Pond are divided along French Catholic and English Protestant lines. Eleven-year-old Elianne, a French Catholic, believes she has been touched by the Hand of God, but she is troubled by an apparition and a visitation, and cannot get answers from her Catholic priest. Despite her prejudice, sje develops a friendship with twelve-year-old Storm, an English Protestant boy, who helps her through a horrific ordeal and unknowingly, sets her on her life path.
