OTACO TRUCK

Before Tonka Toys, there were Minnitoys. My rugged and colourful frame was made by the Orillia Tudhope Anderson Company (OTACO). I was created from wartime innovation, from leftover metal used in aircraft production. By the late 1940s, I was rolling off the line and into homes across Canada. I am built to last and painted in bright hues, I became one of Orillia’s proudest exports and a reminder of childhood. By adopting this me you preserve a portion of Orillia’s manufacturing past.
