I may look like a well-worn easel, but I once stood in the studio of Franklin Carmichael, the Orillia-born painter and founding member of the Group of Seven. Every scratch and paint mark tells the story of countless landscapes that helped define Canadian art. I’m more than a tool, I am an easel that became part of Carmichael’s creative process, a silent partner in his artistic journey, a sculpture in its own right.
