"I've Been Shot At. What's Your Excuse?" is a novella by Sherry Lawson, an Indigenous member of the Mnjikaning First Nation located in the Orillia area. In this story, we get a detailed insight into Lawson’s past thoughts as a daughter of an Algonkian mother and Ojibway father and how that has shaped her memories and experiences. With Lawson's personal touch this book comes highly recommended.
